Australia-Korea Next Generation Leaders Exchange Program
The Australia-Korea Foundation (AKF), in partnership with the Korea Foundation (KF), conducts the Australia-Korea Next Generation Leaders Exchange Program annually. The program aims to develop the leadership skills of potential and/or current leaders from both Australia and Korea in specifically identified subject areas or themes.
In November 2007, a delegation of 10 select young Australian leaders travelled to Korea for an 8 day program focusing on environmental issues. The visit was reciprocated in August 2008 when a delegation of young Korean political and environmental leaders travelled to Australia for 8 days.
In June/July 2009, Australian delegates will once again travel to Korea to participate in a number of briefings and meetings with their counterparts on the theme of “Green Growth”. The visit program will include site visits to relevant institutions and industries. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop an understanding of contemporary Korean culture and society.
