Since the reopening of Australia’s international border, the Australian Passport Office has been experiencing high demand for passports. With passport demand on the rise, we strongly urge you not to leave your application to the last minute. You should allow a minimum of six weeks to apply for or renew one - first time and child passport application can be more complex, so please allow more time. Please keep this in mind when planning for any upcoming travel. We strong recommend you don’t book your travel until you get your passport.
