The Australian Embassy announced today that the Australian Government launched a major new initiative to regional education links between Australian and the Asia-Pacific Region by providing $1.4 billion (AUD) over five years, for 19,000 awards to students, researchers and professionals in the region including South Korea.

Australian Education Minister the Hon Julie Bishop said that the Australian Scholarships demonstrates the Australian Government’s continued commitment to fostering understanding and harmony in the Asia-Pacific region through stronger educational and personal linkages and partnerships.
